Our Story

Seven years ago, when Keeshagaye Whitter was diagnosed with eczema, she began searching for products that would soothe her skin without relying on steroids or harsh ingredients. Frustrated by products that claimed to be natural yet contained only a small percentage of truly natural ingredients, she set out to create something better.

Long before she understood the science behind skincare, Keeshagaye was inspired by her grandmother and her upbringing in Jamaica, where plant-based remedies were a part of everyday life. From peppermint and cerasee to other traditional botanicals, she learned that nature often held powerful solutions.

Inspired by those lessons and driven by her own skin concerns, Keeshagaye spent years researching ingredients and perfecting a formula she could trust. In 2020, she launched My Emollient, a clean beauty brand dedicated to creating simple, effective skincare made with purposeful ingredients.

Today, every batch is handcrafted in Brooklyn, New York using just seven carefully selected ingredients. Free from water, fillers, synthetic fragrances, parabens, dyes, and petroleum, My Emollient is designed to nourish dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin without feeling greasy.
